Margaret

Thanks for sharing this. Hugs, M

Belle

Always interesting to see other religious observations other than my own! The giggling and the disruptions are about the same, tho! :)

Thanks for posting - that was enjoyable to see!

the bee

I have no idea how I will do this but I am begging my friends on FB to invite me to Passover next year.

Margaret

Is there a video there? I can't see anything! I may have to go over to FB. We have several invitations for Easter and don't feel like going anywhere. (both involve driving) Do we dare pull the C card?

Miz S

Hmmm. I wonder why you can't see it. I can see it. Oh, the mysteries of the Internet.

And hell yes, you should pull the C card if you want to.

"Everything is dangerous. You take sensible precautions and you live your life."

So true. Ride on Josh.

Sophie

Beautiful! And very interesting for this sheltered Christian. Loved the horseradish moment. Thanks for sharing.

Karenth

Lovely video, and so kind of you to share it.

Now break out the Hillel sandwiches! They were my favs.

Sue

Agree with Sophie, beautiful and interesting. Also, where did you get your mad your tube video skilz? Great job, very nice!!

Sue

*you tube, sorry.

Miz S

I have no mad video skilz. That was all Josh.

Tessie

Everything IS dangerous! Love that.

Mandy

That was so nice to see! What a lovely, happy family you have.

Your family is lovely and funny, Mary! Happy belated Passover and Easter! xo

Passover/Easter Poem or Shabbat and Pray

Charoset, roasted shank,
Salt water, bitter herb.
Richly symbolic rituals like Seder
Can a Lutheran perturb.

Our only high feast days
Are dubbed "potluck"
Re: the food (as Miz S on occasion says):
"F__k, f__kity, f__k, f__k, f__ck."

Our sons, born at home,
Without much ado,
On the eighth day were circumcised
By a mohel/rabbi/highly-educated Jew.

This ceremony was priceless,
One we would not want to miss:
Wine flowed; Mazel Tovs were toasted;
It was declared a Lutheran bris.

Now one of our daughters
Is engaged to someone Jewish.
And, this is a situation
Toward which we feel quite newish.

I shall remember your video,
When anyone gets cynical,
And remind them to kindly behave
Regarding all things ecumenical.

Anne

Secular Humanist that I might be, I guess, I found watching the video with the sound OFF to be very amusing (though I did watch it with sound, too).

With no sound, it looked, alternately, like a cult gathering or a script reading for a sit com.

It was fun seeing the family, and, Josh, your parents look AMAZING!

I love all the videos you've been posting, Mary!
